We are Catriona Hollen and Ella Ockrim, a mother and daughter who have very different styles of art. After completing an interior design degree in the 1990s and then a long career as a registered nurse, I have recently been drawn back into my artistic roots and rekindled my passion for painting. I have always loved contemporary art particularly abstraction and am greatly inspired by early 20th Century artists especially Wassily Kandinsky.

 

Ella has been a talented artist since a young child. After much soul-searching she chose to study History at University knowing that she could continue her passion for drawing in her spare time. She especially loves to draw in pencil as the tones and shade in this medium produces very realistic pieces. Her love of animals has made them one of her favourite things to draw.
